Database Services Team Lead

Descripción del empleo: Charles Taylor InsureTech is looking for Database Services Team Lead who will lead a team of SQL Database Administrators.
- The Database Services Team Lead requires experience designing solutions, implementing complex projects, meeting project deadlines, meeting challenges with a positive attitude, and work with a strong sense of service ownership.
- Charles Taylor is a cloud first organisation focusing on the Microsoft Azure and other Cloud platforms.
- The role location is flexible with an on-call rotation for major incidents and is expected to cover out of hours maintenance activities when required.
Key ResponsibilitiesWork in a cross functional operations team managing and supporting all aspects of database services.Build and configure new databases in the Azure cloud.Manage ITSM ticket queues.Provide ticket updates to service delivery and project stakeholders.Become the SQL SME for technical escalations.Liaise with vendors and service providers to support production escalations.Troubleshoot performance issues.Identify opportunities to improve database performance.Identify and optimise slow queries.General database administration.Engage with architects and developers to deliver technical designs and provide best practice guidance.Collaborate day-to-day with engineers, developers, and project teams.Implement new solutions to meet business requirements.Create and maintain related diagrams, documentation, and procedures.Conduct full SQL stack diagnostics to help determine the root cause of problems.Required SkillsExperience leading a Database Services Team.Expert knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL services.Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS.Extensive experience with Azure SQL Databases.Experience with Azure Data Factory.Experience with Azure Cosmos DB.Extensive SQL troubleshooting skills.Experience with RedGate monitor or similar monitoring tools.Why Charles Taylor InsureTech?
